Very interesting list. I will take note of various films I have never seen with the hope they are as notorious as those of the list I have already seen.
On my personal list there would ba a place for: Gloria (John Cassavetes, 1980), Fitzcarraldo (Werner Herzog, 1982) and Back to school (Alan Metter, 1986).

Man o man you are a mess. You got a little too cute for your own good. Then you got all traditional at the end with GoodFella’s.

T2, Fargo, Hard Boiled, True romance, Silence of the lambs, Shawshank, Seven, Boogie Nights, Big lebowski, Fight Club, Clerks, Groundhogs day (the best comedy of the decade for god sake!)

I just stare at you in anger now!

you have really good taste. this list reads like the entire Star Channel schedule for 1980. All that’s missing is Lunch Wagon.

The correct title for the Chris Bell posthumous CD is “I Am the Cosmos” (with a ‘C’), which has recently been remastered and re-released. It’s one of my favorite parts of the Big Star related catalog.

Great list!

I’ve seen 64 of the movies that you posted and agree with 46 of them. There are some on your list that I haven’t seen that I would have no interest in the subject matter, even if they are great movies. But of course, with lists there are always disagreements. I’m currently compiling my own list of Best Movies That I’ve Seen, so…

I guess there were some really great movies in the last few years… Anyway, that was fun.. Again, great list!

Thanks for the comment Jeremy! I haven’t heard anything new by him for many years so I didn’t know he was still releasing stuff, though I knew he was still doing some live gigs.
